Sweet ocimum or sweet basil (stevia) is a common growing plant of basil family. A substance called stevioside it is found in its leaves. In which 150 to 250 time more sweetness than sugar and 300 times more than glucose and zero amount of calories in it, that is why it is is also known as sweet basil. Due to this quality it is beneficial for diabetes.
